The Universities Australia consortium needed a coordinated migration from a mix of ageing DSpace 4/5 and ePrints installations to a shared KnowledgeArc cloud infrastructure. The challenge wasn’t the technology — it was aligning 12 institutions’ metadata schemas, embargo policies, and access controls into a coherent shared model.
I ran the discovery and schema harmonisation phase, designed the migration scripts, and managed the staged rollout across institutions. Each migration was verified against record counts and full-text search before the legacy instance was decommissioned.
